DR. JOSEPH NORMAN
Dr. Joseph Norman, DDS, FICOI. After a successful career in Chemistry researching in RadioNuclear Pharmocology at Duke University Medical Center, Dr. Joseph A Norman obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from The University of North Carolina School of Dentistry. Following graduation on the guidance of his mentors , Dr. Norman completed Advance Training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at UT Southwestern Medical Center, John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas and Oklahoma University Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Although his training in General Anesthesia in the Department of Anesthesia at John Peter Smith Hospital, he focuses in providing Intravenous, Subcutaneous, Oral and Intramuscular Moderate to Minimal Conscious Sedation Techniques based on the guidelines from the American Dental Society of Anesthesia.
In his practice, he provides the following procedures under Moderate to Minimal Sedation: Comprehensive Rehabilitation/Cosmetic Dentistry, Restorative Dentistry, Endodontic Surgery, Third Molar Surgery, and Implantology. He is a fellow in International Congress of Implantology and working on completing his fellowship in American Academia of General Dentistry and American Academia of Cosmetic Dentistry. Dr. Norman is the proud recipient of the UNC SOD Dental Research Fellowship-2006, NC AADR Distinguished Service Award – 2006 and Ronald P. Strauss Community and International Health Award -2005.
